We’ve got exciting news about an important project.

On Friday 21 August we will be launching a Kickstarter project to fund the creation of AFROSURF, the first book to comprehensively document and celebrate surfing and related street culture in Africa. Together with Selema Masekela and some of Africa's finest photographers and writers, we will explore original African surf culture from Morocco to Somalia, Mozambique, South Africa and beyond.

The book ships in December and will be a 300-page mindbomb funded, with your help, by backing us on Kickstarter. The funds we raise through Kickstarter will be used to fund the production of this book and the first print run for our backers. We need to sell 500 copies to make the project happen. Thereafter, ALL the profit from every future edition of AFROSURF will go to the incredible African surf therapy organisations, Waves for Change and Surfers Not Street Children.

    The book will include:
    • 25+ surfer profiles
    • 14+feature articles and thought pieces
    • 18 countries featured
    • 1 photo comic
    • 200+ photos
    • 300 pages
    • 1.5 kgs

We hope you get involved and join us in making AFROSURF happen.
