Mami Wata x York

York Surfboards are the new kids on the block, but tapping into a rich vein of African surfing heritage in Muizenberg, Cape Town. Muizenberg Beach is historically where modern surfing started in South Africa in 1919. York Surfboards sprung out of the Lifestyle Surf Shop, established in 1975 by surfboard shaper Tich Paul, and growing into one of South Africa's finest core surf shops.

York Surfboards aims to marry all the heart and craft of surfing's yesteryear to the knowledge and expertise and production techniques of modern surfboard manufacture. In other words, you can get the same riding experience on a board of the past, made better than it ever was before. Yesterday, today.
