We live mostly in a 'western world', where so often, we are trying to be like each other - especially in surfing. And we think that modern western culture is always going to be the main influence. But if anything, i feel like African surf communities are going to be the ones to influence a lot of people around the world instead.

I'm a 15 year old girl from Yoff, in Dakar. My goal is to be a champion surfer representing my country. I also want to be a role model for the next generation, and show young girls they can surf and keep up with school at the same time.
