Friends in New York, the Hamptons and beyond,
You’re invited to the NOAH + Mami Wata ‘African Surf Film Night’ on Sunday 14th August.
Hosted at the NOAH Hideout store in Amagansett, NY, the night starts at 6pm at the store and then moves onto the Square’s lawn for an under the stars screening which starts at 8pm. The screening features a curated selection of films capturing a slice of African surf culture running from Morocco down to South Africa.
The evening will also be a fundraiser for African surf therapy organization Surfers Not Street Children.
We’ll be auctioning two Mami Wata X YORK surfboards (produced in Cape Town), and selling a limited edition ‘African Surf Film Night’ fundraiser tee shirts (made in South Africa with African cotton).
There will also be Mami Wata apparel, AFROSURF art book and Mami Wata surfboards in-store as well as a limited run (30) hand screen printed ‘African surf film night’ posters.
Drinks will be provided by Ruby Hibiscus Water & Blue Point Brewery. Food provided by Doubles of Amagansett.
If you can, come on down.
Listen to a collection of songs from South African New York based artist Gazelle for an African meets American surf collaboration by Mami Wata Surf and NOAH NY.
